April Trainers 2013 by David Renham
Each month on Punter Profits I have a look at past trainer monthly data. We come to April and it is now that the flat season springs into life and hence this article focuses on trainers 'on the level'. I have taken data from the last five Aprils (2008 to 2012) and I have included Irish results as well as UK. All profits/losses have been calculated to SP.
All races - a look at trainer performance in every type of contest to begin with focusing on the better performing ones (SR 15%+):

As we can see there have been several profitable angles for Gosden so these are all worth noting this April.

Another positive angle for Gosden, with David Barron's record is also excellent. Mark Johnston has sent out over 200 runners in 3yo handicaps in 5 years and his runners should be noted when appearing at Beverley and Wolverhampton. Johnston also has a good record with LTO winners - 24 wins from 83 (SR 28.9%) for a profit of £14.14 (ROI +17%).
Finally a look at 2yo maidens - limited data but worth a look nonetheless.
